I was stuck on getting film grain to look natural in my edits, but Mark’s method for matching grain size to the image resolution finally made it click for me. The side-by-side comparisons throughout the tutorial really helped me see the difference.

I went in knowing almost nothing about the film emulation side of the software, and by the end I was building my own custom presets from scratch. The section on stacking film grain and color rendering finally made the whole workflow click for me.

Mark Wallace is a great instructor and he breaks down FilmPack's film emulation sliders in a way that finally made sense to me. I'd been guessing at the intensity settings for months; after two evenings with this I'm getting consistent looks straight out of the plugin.
